grasshopper+excel

Hi everybody,

I was trying to use this definition from Luis Fraguada:

to connect grasshopper to excel

I don't know why but the message I get is:
"cannot create activex components"
did anybody have the same problem?

I haven't tried it, but my guess is you need to have Openoffice installed.

Hello Estrellita,
We are developing a more robust spreadsheet connection. If you email us at gHowlcomponents[at]gmail[dot]com we will send you the latest version. Yes, Vicente is correct, for the current versions we are leveraging off of Open Office, so you have to have it installed. We are working to release a version that can use Excel as well, and eventually something that is independent of other platforms...but this last one is a ways away yet. The current version works with GH 0.7.x.
