OSX 10.11.4, Rhino 5.2(WIP)

How can I add an input (or output) variable to the python grasshopper node?

Is it just me, or is this not supported (yet)?

P.s.: Why on earth does one need to zoom in to 200+% to permore a task that should be possible with right click > manage variables ?
