Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

As of today, the Grasshopper trademark and source codes are no longer owned by Robert McNeel & Associates as we've negotiated the acquisition of the product by Recursive Development llc. R-D is a new company specifically founded for continued Grasshopper development. There will be an official press release early next week.

The main purpose of this transfer is to put Grasshopper on a firm commercial footing and to guarantee development on 3D platforms other than Rhino.

In the meantime, this forum will remain active and McNeel employees will continue to provide support until the transition is complete.

HAHAHAHA, good one!

April's fool day...

"Recursive Development llc. would like to thank the entire Grasshopper community for their active participation in the development of this exciting plugin! You will now be able to purchase Parametrix (formerly Grasshopper) for the similarly exciting price of US$500. Mister Rutten will keep an active role as honorary consultant." CAD Management Mag

Most amusing. I think David missed a trick in calling the the Company R-D it should have at least another two Rs to be RDRR. See Bart the Genius for cultural references.

Teacher: So y = r cubed over 3. And if you determine the rate of change in this curve correctly, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The class laughs except for Bart who appears confused.
Teacher: Don't you get it, Bart? Derivative dy = 3 r squared dr over 3, or r squared dr, or r dr r.

R-D are my initials, thought not in that order.
