Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Grasshopper 0.7.0035 is available for download.

This release fixes a lot of issues that have been reported over the past month, some of them quite serious. I regret to say there are still some known bugs left though.

There is no major new functionality, but a number of things have changed. Please review this list before you install the new version:

- User Objects are now stored in the User Roaming folder. This should fix a number of account issues with off-limit folders. If you have user objects, I suggest you copy them to a safe location prior to installing 0.7.0035. You can reach the User Object folder via the Grasshopper file menu. Once you've installed 0.7.0035 you can then open the new location via the menu and copy the files back.

- The User Object folder is now synched in real time with the Grasshopper toolbars. Any *.ghuser files added to or removed from the folder will (dis)appear immediately in the toolbars.

- User Objects now maintain their custom icon. If you come across a case where a custom icon is lost, please let me know.

- A new behind-the-scenes display mode has been added to the Grasshopper canvas. In the case of document object display errors, you should no longer see the red-screen-of-death, but the new ultra-paranoid display mode should kick in.

- The icon cache logic has been rewritten, Grasshopper should now use considerably less memory for icon storage. If you run into cases where icons appear messed up, please let me know.

- A totally pointless new object has been added to the Params.Special dropdown.

Enjoy!

Hi David

Thanks for the update.
I still have some problems with the division component, basically it desapears when I save the definition.
It works using a simple function to replace it.

Victoire
Thanks David!
Thanks David for the update.
It seems the offset bug is still there. Just a reminder:)

Maybe you just set a too large number???
I don't think the offset distance is too large. It was below 20. The unit is meter.
The black shapes on the left are the results of Rhino offset, while the red ones are produced with GH.
In this case, maybe David and David only can handle ~~
yeah, seeing the same thing here. I use use offset curve a lot. It's tough finding the sweet spot to allow me to get the distance I want, sometimes I have to go to the 10,000th decimal.
Don't think anyone else has mentioned this. I'm getting an incorrect splash screen on startup with Win 7

Danny,

can you measure the dimensions of the banner image in pixels (the image you posted seems to have been downsized). It should be 500x200 pixels.

It was 500 x 200 but I've discovered why it was wrong.

The display setting was set to Medium - 125%

This is the result set to Smaller - 100%

It's odd because I never set this value when I got the PC but is says the smaller one is default.

Oh dear God! The unadulterated horror! Everything looks absolutely horrible on anything but the default size.

Anyway, I fixed the banner so it should work now on all sizes. Thanks for reporting (and in such detail!).

There are 2 bugs on my machine with the parameter management.
If I right click on Crv component to mange curve collection, then the management window shows that all the curves that I selected are null.

If I try to manage the Geo collection, the error window will pop up.
