Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

This is a quick release to fix 3 serious issues in in the previous release earlier today.

You can download 0.8.0065 from the usual location.

○ Expressions would not work, this is fixed.
○ Tooltip layout was incorrect, this is fixed.
○ Fonts that do not support regular styling would crash in the previewer, this is fixed.

For a list of new features see the 0.8.0064 release page.

Ah... did you per chance create a Tab Layout that contained all the components that were available at the time? If you have such a layout anything new won't be shown.

Hmm, I don think I created a Tab layout. Can I reset this?

If you have layouts loaded they'll show up in the Tab menu. Press the right mouse button over the tab page region and click on the eyes to make all layouts invisible:

If this is not the case, another possibility is that your Math.gha file (which contains the Set components) somehow did not update correctly. You could try uninstalling Grasshopper, then make sure all *.gha files are gone from your machine and then reinstall. It's a bit of a job, but I'm not sure what else could be the problem.

Ok I sorted it. For some reason, I copied the default componenst such as math to C:\Users\stlewis\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries

Im guessing this user folder should only be used for custom components such as Kangaroo,

Hi David

Thank you for this latest release.

Just one request.  Would it be possible to enhance the quick graph component to allow

x-y data to be plotted rather than simply y values.  This way I can plot equations more easily rather

than having to generate y-values at regular intervals of x.

Many thanks

William

Hi David,

Thank you for the update.

Though I have a problem with vb script component. The code wouldn't updated after I changed the code and closed the script editor window.

I was wondering if this is an issue for everyone or just me.

Thank you,

I think it's everyone. I'll fix it asap.

Fixed it (I think). You can download the fixed Script.gha from this post. Let me know if it works.

Thank you David!

Now the code updates fine after I edited the code.

Although I have one more problem with the script component.

Whenever I make the input parameter single (for example if I make single "x" parameter by removing "y") then it will give me an error says "error: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection. Parameter name: index (line: 0)".

Thank you,

Yup, my new script caching code is causing all sorts of non-updating issues... I'll fix this one too, but since it's not a vital bug I'll wait until the next release (should be very soon, lots of reported bugs left).

Thanks.

Hi Mateusz,

no, if you overwrite the file then Grasshopper should load the 'fixed' gha next time it starts. Are you absolutely sure you overwrote the old file? Can you just delete Script.gha entirely to see if the Scripting components are really gone when you start Grasshopper?
