algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Version 0.8.0051 is now available for download from the usual location.
Note that you need the most recent Microsoft Runtimes to be able to load Grasshopper in Rhino4. You can download the latest runtimes from the Microsoft Website, and be sure to get the 32-bit ones (vcredist_x86.EXE).
This release mainly features bug fixes and small tune-ups. The only major addition is a second solver for Galapagos, modelled on the Simulated Annealing stochastics/meta-heuristics approach.
Here's a full list of new features since 0.8.0050:
And a list of bug fixes:
And as always, let's be careful out there.

hi, khizer
yes! that's exactly the same message i've got when hitting the Start Solver button for a short while, have u come up with any idea or solution for this problem, or is there something wrong with my work that causing the problem?
Is this a brand new Galapagos object or is it an object opened from an old file? If the latter, can you try replacing it with a new one?

replacing worked for me.
thanks, david!
Worked for me too..
Thanks...
I **love** this software, and I hate for a complaint to be my first post.... but.
Why get rid of the Preview On and Preview Off (and Enable On and Off)? Since it only toggles now. It means you actually have to select the component that has preview on as opposed to selecting everything and turning everything off? In a big definition this is a real pain. Unless there's something I'm missing?
I just don't understand what the gain is.
Again. This is fantastic software... It's just hard when you mess with my (albeit lazy) workflow.

Select the components that you wish to change. In an area of blank canvas click the middle mouse button. Select the option you wish from the radial menu.
Alternatively use the spacebar this is slightly different in that it won't deselect everything except the focused component (the one inside the Radial center).
The third way is to right click on the canvas and you will get the "Legacy" menu options.

Thanks so much. That's awesome.
Still not as easy ctrl-shift-q but it works. Makes my day better.
appreciated.

You're not alone with the short-cut view point: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/grasshopper-0-8-0050-avai...
Remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease
I've never used the Q short cut personally, but I'm sure David is open to u-turns :)
I do know that he is planning to make the shortcuts user customisable so maybe this is the solution.
Hi Henry.
SHIFT+Q is now a toggle combination, you don't need the CTRL key anymore.
First SHIFT+Q to show preview, second SHIFT+Q to hide preview.
Same for SHIFT+E to enable/disable components.
Ciao
