algorithmic modeling for Rhino
is it possible to have a gradient of only (lets say) 4 colors.
what I know so far its that if you have a gradiend from red to blue you can have millions of variations in between.
but can I have only 4 for example [red, darker red, purple and blue] just a few solid colors and apply them to various objects???
did I explain myself?

yes you can. Just make 5 points on gradient and set 2 (left and right) colors for each exclude first and last.
dont really understand...but I am trying right this second thanks though!! if I have some questions I would really apriciate if you could help me!
Hi Francicso,
gradients in Grasshopper support grips with different colours left and right. It's a bit more work to set it up, but you can have a look at the 'zebra' gradient preset to see how it's done.

Hi Im having the same problem that is stated above. In fact I need 5 different colors on gradient thats why I can t use the zebra preset. How can I achieve to have multiple colors on a surface but not like gradient but like pixels blue red and green only. In that case blue red green yellow and orange for instant.
I got the solution thanks to David Rutten and Philipp
you ahve to play with the "color in" and "color out" inside the gradient editor!
thanks to you guys!!!
