gradient mesh on surface instead of bounding box

Hello to all!

I have found a very neat definition searching within the community, I need it to perform a bit differently though. It creates a bounding box from a point cloud and instead I need to create this gradient map on the red surface. I have been rying to make it work with surfacebox but this seems to keep failing.

Any thoughts? Thank you all for your input!

Hi.

Why don't you convert your surface to appropriate mesh and replace "BBbox+Delaunay mesh" part of your def? Best.

Thank you so much!It works like a charm!Exactly what I was trying to achieve!

Could you maybe guide me as to how I can separate the 'whiter' areas of the surface? I am guessing that these areas will be metaball-shaped, as shown in your preview. Any thoughts? Thanks again for a great help!
