Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hi all

i have tried many example files to test the grab component in order to see why it is not working .

Daniel Piker (hope you see this)

im trying to make  2 area constraints, length clamping, angle constraints, and direction constraints. but the grab is not reacting at all.

asked also other friends to test on their machines,,, same result

what is wrong?

Hi AJ,

Which version of Kangaroo are you using?

You need to press the Alt key on your keyboard while left clicking the geometry.

(In previous versions it was the Ctrl key, but I changed it so it would work on Mac too, and now it works the same on both)

Also check the 'Range' input on Grab is something sensible for the scale of your model.

im using latest kangaroo and grasshopper

when uploading the demo files i get an error >  "output parametre chunk with older version 0.9.0075"

the demo file grab component is not responsive using Ctrl or Alt

(using Colide2D example file  // also tried bunch others. while changing the it feel like something is being processed(screen lagging)
cheers

Can you try the attached demo?

It's possible the example you were trying didn't work because it had an older version of the component in

Glad to hear that. If you find old definitions are not working it may help to delete the grab component and replace it with the one from the toolbar.

K2 grab isnt working. needs to be replaced by the one attched in the "grabtest.gh" file.
