Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello, I am an architecture student and I've recently started using Grasshopper, I've been developing some sort of "Facade" and so far I've been able for my component to "open & close" based on a slider and rotations, my problem so far is that my component is made of separate triangles turned into a group, my dilemma so far is that I'd like to create an hexagonal grid and copy a series of my component on said grid... I was hoping someone could please help me, I've attached the ".gh" file in the post

any help will be greatly appreciated

Thank you in advanced

Great start!  With your setup you're already super close.  You can simply use the vector-grid-hexagonal component to get your hexagrid, and then get the vertices of the composite hexagons and organize them such that they replace your current points in the correct order.  I've attached a definition that does it (I also threw in some super rough attractors that drive variable rotations).  I included a component from tree sloth as well (multi-dispatch) which you can find here: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/profiles/blogs/tree-sloth-data-structu.... If you don't want to install it it would be easy enough to just use 6 list components instead and set your indices to 0,1,2,3,4,5.
