gHowl - Spreadsheet writer

Hello guys,

I am trying to transform a data written in a Pannel componenet in grasshopper into a spreadsheet using the "spreadsheet writer" componenet in gHowl but it is not working and im sure why .. The error message received is "1. Solution exception:The type initializer for 'ClosedXML.Excel.XLWorkbook' threw an exception."

Does anyone have an idea what's wrong ? and how to use this componenet ?

Hello Ibrahim,

In the gHowl r50 zip you will find a folder called 'Dependencies' and within that an archive called 'OpenXMLSDKv2.msi.' This must be installed in order for the spreadsheet components to work. From the food4rhino gHowl page:

Spreadsheet:
The spreadsheet components leverage the OpenXML engine. You must have OpenXMLSDKV2.msi installed in order for these components to work. These components read and write *.xlsx files. Supports numerical values and strings.

Have you installed this? Let me know if you are still getting issues after you've installed this archive.

Another suggestion, please post gHowl related questions to the gHowl group, otherwise, I'm bound not to see them in the general discussion.
