algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear all,

I've been experimenting with GH by putting certain formulas into a GHStream to create surfaces. I was inspired by this post, http://designreform.net/forum/index.php/topic,703.0.html

on this post there is a Wrm. file with the GH Script, "TAZ" created, however, when I input the data into the String Component, the script fails.

The script was imported into an early GH version, and then saved as a GHX, which I have attached.

Would be grate to get some input on this, as I can't work out why Taz's Script isn't working when I input the expressions into the String component.

Cheers,

Dave

There's a number of different ways in which a surface equation can be stated. For example, you could supply 3 functions (one for x, one for y and one for z) that all operate on the surface U,V coordinates. Or you could only specify a single function (for elevation or offset) that operates on X,Y. Or you could define an offset function that operates on an Angle and Distance metric.

I attached three files that do these separately. They've all been constructed slightly differently to give you a feeling for the possible approaches.
