algorithmic modeling for Rhino

The geodesic does not return the shortest list, but only the first item in the list (which is not the correct solution for the shortest list).  In the attached definition, I did the same set-up using lines set to shortest list, which did return the correct set, but using the exact same inputs with geodesics set to shortest list, the list is not correct.

Seems to me to be a bug in the geodesic function. (Using latest release of GH).

(Hi Mark)

This isn't the only problem with Geodesic (tho I don't find other postings, so perhaps it is expected behavior?). There appears to be some sort of an "off by one" error because (1) Shortest list returns only the first item, as Mark noted, (2) Longest list doesn't produce a correct first item (a line between the first points in the lists), and (3) using an Item select on the output shows the first item produced in the geodesic output actually attempts to connect the last point in the longer list (whether connected to Start or End points) with the first point in the shorter list (and doesn't follow the surface).
