Genoform Version 2

Hey guys, just letting you know we've created version 2 of Genoform, now with its own grasshopper components.

We've created two new sliders that work with Genoform.

I'm having all sorts of problems. I can't even find the components anywhere on my computer. Plus not having Xcel, I found out is a big problem.

I installed everything on my buddies computer that has excel and is basically the same setup as mine, but he is getting the same error, "CAD program not found" and I can't find the components anywhere on his either.

Guess my setup is not ready for primetime. :-(

Component

Hey Ryan,
The component was packaged with the software. I don't know why. I currently don't have control over the file server on the GF website, so you can get the component from that link.

Once they are in, run rhino, then grasshopper, then save your grasshopper file, then run genoform. Genoform needs a saved grasshopper file so it can output generation images to a folder in the same directory as the file.

Which error do you get, can't download application, or the VB Power Pack 10?

Sorry Guys, the fellow that uploads the software onto our website seems to forget to put important files into the pack.
Component
This is the grasshopper component. Try that.

i have the same error like Ryles. i download file from Ryles' link ( i also download and install vb power pack 3.0 ). then i install genoform again and i havethe same error

So your VB powerpacks aren't working.

Try install the V10 one, and restart the computer, then install Genoform.

If you get the CAD package error, that means its starting the software, and you don't have Grasshopper open with a saved file.

I'm getting a window that says that no CAD program is found running. then i follow your steps Run Grasshopper> save file (i save a blank dedinition file bacause i not sure what you mean "save the file" i wonder save what file, i cannot use the sample definition in the install file) > install Genoform and it still apprear a window that says that no CAD program is found running. what i hve to do next ?

Have you copied the Genoform Grasshopper Component into the Components folder of grasshopper?

You can download the component from here. You can use one of the example files we provided, as long as they are saved in a standard folder setup.

i using GH 0.8.0010 so i cant open the sample file :(( . so i have to usinng Rhinọ 5 to use Genoform, right?
