algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I spent hours trying to figure out a way with no results so far..

Let's say I want to make an endless droplet waterfall, where the drops at the bottom of the pool gets recycled (or "teleported") back to the top reservoir. That's no big problem - just replace these points in the list with new ones that are located at the beginning.

The problem is that I can't find a way to update the geometry Kangaroo is applying forces to. I used Hoopsnake to update the original point list and everything looks good up to the point it enters Kangaroo. It seems like Kangaroo is sticking with its original geometry input, refusing to update it.

Iv'e seen many clips showing dynamic addition of mesh elements, for example. I guess they faced the same challenge and solved it.

I added a very simplified GH example file, to focus on the problem.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I think I figured it out.

You need to reset Kangaroo in order for it to accept the new geometry (points).

What I did is reset it every 2nd loop of Hoopsnake (and than un-reset it). It works, although slower.

If somebody knows ho to make it more efficient, please reply.

Have you tried with Data Dam?
You have option to choose the iteration time (0.5 sec, 0.25 ..)
Here's an example.
