Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,
How can a helix be generated in grasshopper? In Rhino a helix command exists but I would like to have the radius and number of turns to be controlled by a slider.
Thanks!

Its because you're using the 5.0099 build. It was done in 6.019. You should really update as the 6.0 stuff has lots of useful additions such as data trees and a whole host of other things.

Joshua - I ran your helixAlongCurve.ghx file in GH 0.9.0076 and noticed that it has the same problems as the much simpler Sin/Cos solution posted at the beginning of this thread. That's the method I use for generating 3D printed screw threads and other helical shapes, but I have to whack off the top and bottom parts of the helix because the start & end section aren't quite correct.

Could your version fix this, but only in GH2? The attached pic shows the top view I get of your method. Is the GH2 version different?
