Galleries Request

Would it be possible to have the 'comment count' and the 'like' button on the gallery view of images, not just in the sidebar.

I like seeing, people's comments and feedback to pieces of work. And often the discussions that arise from posted images. But short of clicking on every single image there is no way to see which images having been causing a stir...

Does this make sense or is it just me?
