Galapagos - Wait for Excel Calculation

Hello everyone,

I am trying to use Galapagos for an optimization where I calculate one solution in Grasshopper - the second is sent to Excel via TT Toolbox and calculated there and after it sent back to Grasshopper via TT Toolbox Excel read.

Is there any possibility you can trigger Glapagos so it starts again only after the result from Excel is back in Grasshopper?

Not really... what kind of calculation you're doing in Excel ? It would be much easier to do it in gh...

It is a calculation for Color Rendering Index (CRI) - for light sources. I tried to implement it in grasshopper but it takes really long as there is a lot of references in the Excel file. So if there is a possibility to get the calculation from Excel it would be preferred.

The calculation in Excel does not take that long - it is mainly the time for the transportation to and from Excel and then Galapagos picks the wrong numbers.
