algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi I was wondering whether someone would be kind enough to help simplify (or any thoughts) this as this is only one structural bay. Each point can change in the x and z axis. Using galapagos I aim to find the optimum structural form according to various forces.

Many thanks!

Try this:

The first component is called "gene list". The first 3 sliders create the first point of the right hand side of the bay, the 4th, 5th, 6th sliders create the second point of the right hand side of the bay and so on. The second half of the list of sliders generates the left part of the bay.

The problem with this component that you can't set up the max min range of each individual slider. You could change the min max range to 0-1 and then generate a list of numbers using the range or series components and the list length of sliders (for example), and then use the remap component to generate min-max ranges automatically.

gene list -> path mapper -> numbers to points -> path mapper -> polyline

                                                                                             -> flip matrix -> polyline

Find more info by right clicking on a component and selecting 'help'.
