Galapagos ... Bake generations?

Hello David,
Is it possible to add something that could bake certain generations in a solution? Like to go into the solver window, be able to load up certain previously run simulations and pick a segment and bake the solutions? Maybe another connection to the geometry you want to bake.

I am attaching an example where a point tries to reach another moving point (aided by Giulio's buffer code)(logic is not solid on my part). This is more a curiosity than anything that useful at the moment. I would be curious to see iterations through time...or rather have the iterations over time available to work with.

Also, any way to shrink/expand the solver graph horizontally as well? Any way to get solver graph as jpg/pdf/xls?

what about baking each run? i select all the sliders and save the solution after each run as a state then recall them later to bake. it would be great to have this recorder built into Galapagos. David?

This saving of the solution as a state, is this a new feature in version 0.7. Must try this out

No, it's available in 0.6.X as well. Solution menu -> Save State... item

Yeah sure. The interface for Galapagos has been very quickly thrown together just to make it useable. I suspect it will probably be redesigned a few times before I finally get it right.

Hi Luis,

all the information accumulated over the entire solver run is stored in memory, but it is at present impossible to export/extract it. I'll start by adding a serializer so you can save/load solutions. Then I'll add selection mechanism so you can pick specific individuals from specific generations and have them reinstated.

There's a lot of work to be done on this.

Thanks for the response. I think we are all quite used to (and accepting) of sweeping changes to GH. Galapagos is already veru fun to play with...looking forward to its future development!
