algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I'd start with setting up fields and tracing field lines. But that not be how the original was made.

Hi David,
Which plugin shall I use to generate this kind of flowline structure? Thanks
cheers,
Angela
I also don't know how it is done, because there is almost 3 types of flowline. But have you some references about this work ? It shoud also be interesting knowing what you intend to do, what sort of volume/surface, .... The important thing is lines. Because tubes are just pipes and could easily done in Rhino or Grasshopper.
I think it cold be done if curves followed some offset surface of a surface, with a certain amount of randomness. You could look at what I did here.
hi Laurent,
The idea for me to do this diagram as I would like use the flowlines/ streamlines to flow around the surface and create a "flowline" structure. If you have any ideas please let me know. Thanks:)

karamba offers two utility components which integrate a directional field you define yourself on a mesh (resp. integrate the isolines of a scalar field), so the lines will always lie 100% on the mesh. you can take those, join and simplify them, so you would get a bit of randomness.
best,
Rob
karamba seems to have restrictions for the trial version

Hello,
First of all, can you post some reference for these images.
I have done something similar with Processing many years ago.
You can use nudibranch to achieve something close to the pictures (components srf/mesh climber, point hicking, walkers ect) look at the example files.
Best,
M
