Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I really need some help with this definition I found at

I'm still new to grasshopper (still doing basic tutorials) and due to my limited knowledge I am struggling to really go beyond the basic definition provided in the site.

I was wondering if it is possible to apply this to a custom geometry and not just a box.
Say a rectangle, a circle, or something a bit more complicated even.

At the moment I have to just bake it as a box then carve the shape out, and scale and stretch it which kind of ruins the integrity of the form.

OR even if it is possible to add more than one box into the definition.
Someone also mentioned I could add a SIN graph in there to control the waves somehow?

If someone could possibly help point me in the right direction, I would be eternally grateful!!

Hi,

I am attaching an example where the overall morphology of the isosurface is handled in GH. By using similar approaches you can get different design cases. As far as the sin wave is concerned, there is an embedded distribution generator in the AttractorValues component of Nudibranch. If you want more overall control, such as multiple wave function just keep distribution to 0 (linear) and parse the values through a Graph mapper.
