Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey guys,

I have a problem that i'm trying to solve...

After Kangaroo has relaxed the shape of my membrane, i'm trying to get it to flatten some triangles that are formed on some predefined cut-lines.

What is the best way to flatten a "triangle" (Triangles with a small curve at the top) from this mesh? In the end we want to stitch these panels together and have them end up in the original shape.

Any idea's on how to solve this?

Thank you guys!

I can't be the first one trying to solve this problem...

Anyone has an idea on how to tackle this ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you guys!

I'll post a more detailed reply later, but in the mean time, this may be of help:http://www.grasshopper3d.com/m/group/discussion?id=2985220%3ATopic%...

I'm currently working at the same question. I have similar mesh stripes and want to unfold and flatten them to the xy-plane. The pieces are surrounded by the red pipes. I look for a C#, VB or Python solution. Has anyone an idea? Every hint is welcome.
