Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

i'd like to sum the boundary length from adjacent closed polylines according to their  layers.

I can get the boundary line by RUnion them (see red line). Next step would be to split up this boundary line and sum up the segments according to what element they are overlapping. Any suggestions how to do this? I was thinking about comparing the boundingbox from each of the red-line-segments with each element of the closed polylines but, due to my limited grasshopper skills coudn't get it working...

Any suggestions?

Hi there,

if every line connection is/have a node (see pic)

Do not use polylines, use just normal lines as a "panel" contour.

you can use this one

Cheers,

Raul

Hi Raul,

thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the HorsterReference Tools aren't downloadable at the moment so i can't try your approach complete :-(

But the CullDupLines from TT Toolbox looks interesting and promising :-)

Best regards, Heiko

you can also try Human (ObjAtts)

can you please send me a screenshot from your setting that i can see where to place ObjAtts and what to connect? Thanks in advance!

sure

Raul
