find the closest point

hey! i am trying to find the close points to the curves that im using, i mean, if there is a point that its distance from each curve is smaller that 5, then put it in a list, and orient it on that curve.. i tried to write it in python but i dont know why it doesnt work!

thank u for your reply! i am working on an urban parametric design, so im trying to find the points that sits almost on the same line (the logic behind this is that those points are landmarks in real life and they are my input if they exist on the same street then i want them to sit on the same line..so my python code is passing on all the lines and the points to know the distance and if this distance < 5m then i want this point to sit on that curve )
now i can't move it because i can't know how to write in python the translation vector, can u help?
