Find highest Z value of two points laying on top of eachother

Hi! I'm trying to find the highest of two points lying on top of eachtother. I think you have to deconstruct points and then use a test, but I can't figure it out. Could you please help me?? Thankyou very much in advance!!

I attached some files to make it clearer, I want to make a railing which is attached to the highest points of the hexagonshaped roof.

Yes sorry!

I want to make a railing like the blue colums that are already in the design, but then with grasshopper. I just made this in rhino with extrude.

the rhino file is to big, can send you the grasshopper though!
