Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I have a tree structure with varying numbers of items in each branch. I would like to filter out only the branches with a specific number of items. For example, if I have a tree structure with 77 branches and 4 of those branches have 21 items each and the rest have more or less, I want to extract only the branches with 21 items. How can this be done? I've tried Path Mapper but can't seem to wrap my head around how to use it.

Thanks!

Hello jc,

you could do something like this:

Two good solutions, thanks guys!

I just saw David's solution. It has the benefit of also keeping the "false" branches (the ones with different lengths) in case you need them later in your definition.

As you only want to extract the branches at a certain length Prune Tree would work fine.

You can also use this component is you want all tree above, below or between 2 values.
