algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hey guys,
Iam struggling with an issue how to make simple pattern on bended surface which could behave similar than metaballs. I made pattern in whiich some elements getting smaller and some getting bigger ( according atractor point, of course )
The big ones are overlapping - and instead of that I would like to make them as a one curve ( like a outline of them ) and fillet the corners in way that it would looks like metaballs. The problem is also that they dont have the common plane. Basicaly I would like to define somehow distance - and if circles reach this distance they will join together and fillet .
Is there any solutions or at least small suggestion how could I manage to get result I require ?
Attached picture bellow.
Thanks !

Thanks ! , But problem in this way is that projected or mapped pattern is deformed on surfrace, while pattern made according normals of surface is not deformed - and I would like to keep it like that.
It doesnt really mater if your surface is bended just a bit, but in more complicated shapes it can appears like a big problem. :/ any ideas for that?
Looks like your target surface has uneven U&V domain.
Try to rebuild your target surface.
