Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi guys,

I can't seem to find a fillet command in grasshopper that behaves like the fillet/chamfer command in rhino. The fillet command in grasshopper only works for a single polyline. What I want to do is to have two nonparallel disconnected line to extend until the intersection point.

I had to essentially write a script that did the fillet (with radius = 0) for me, but it didn't work and I was wondering if there's a native fillet command or some command that doesn't involve trig.

Thanks!

Hi Jerry,

there is no filleting component in Grasshopper yet that works like the Rhino _Fillet command.

I don't know what it will take to get this done.

I am not sure what my thinking is correct or not.
I remember I add a wish list incuding add fillet component when we in google group.
but now i changed my mind .
i think architect always like some fast way to get the round corner wen they still thinking with aotucad.
after half years working with grasshopper and now i got some idea when we add some contrl so the diffrent fillet way in grasshopper working well.
Thank you for your reply David,

I thought I just couldn't find it. I wonder how people do it then... hmm.
see enclosed file. just quick study. not really good. add more tangent and verctor calculation compoment i think we can get best result.for your reference.
what i try to do first was forget normal model or darfting way but thinking with parametric.
