Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I was working on a gh definition for a couple of days already. File was saved properly and everything was fine till it decided to crash when I tried to group some components (It grouped them and then when I was zooming out the group frame was growing along with the zoom out). Every time I try to reopen it, Rhino is crashing, and there is no recovery file in the Autosave folder unfortunately and no previous versions either.. Any ideas what can I do to save all these working hours before start rebuilding everything from scratch? I am attaching the definition in case anyone is willing to try to open it. Thanks in advance for any tips - I really need to recover!

WARNING!!!

For what it's worth, this is my experience:

  1. Only one copy of Rhino running.
  2. Saved and 'Close/New' both Grasshopper and Rhino.
  3. Disable Solver.
  4. Open your file.
  5. Get message that I don't have a list of plugins.
  6. CRASH Rhino!!!!

To my surprise and dismay, when I re-opened Rhino/Grasshopper, both Rhino and Grasshopper's lists of recent files was LOST!  Bummer.  I didn't lose the files, just the "Recent" history.

P.S.  Save early, save often!  Disk space is cheap.  My file naming convention:

prefix_2015Jul28a.suffix

Thanks for the try Joseph! I didn't have the issue with the recent history but still the rest remain the same!
