Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out the bending of a curve pattern into 3d drawn on a ground plane using positive force into an elastica curve. The script I've been working on allows for the curves to bend upwards using sliders which scale the points closer/ farther apart, but I'm now trying to fasten the curves together at certain points. I'm wondering if magnetic snap is the best way to do this, as when I try to run the script the curves don't seem to act as though they are still one single curve, rather 3 segments. In the photos you can see that the curves are not acting as they really would.

hopefully someone may have a suggestion of a better way of going about this!

thank you for your response - interesting concept! do you have any kangaroo 2 bending scripts you've been working with that you'd be able to share?
