algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi All !

I have a little problem, trying to morph a hexgrid on surface.

I want to create a pattern by deforming a grid along a surface. I looked for some topics here and I found two methods : Surface Morph and Map to surface.

I tryed them but it doesn't work.  Maybe a problem with the bounding-box

? I need the bounding box to contain the grid but here there is a bounding box for all the hexagons.

To summarise, I want my surface boundary (the disk) to contain a deformed hexgrid.

Can somebody help me please ? Thank you !

On ne comprend pas trop où tu veux en venir... ?

ah :/ en fait je veux que ma grille se deforme pour s'inscrire dans le cercle.

Hi

Check this.

Hi Hyungsoo Kim , thank you for your help, I know how to get a boundingbox of a grid now :).

The result is not really what I look for, I have not be clear in my first post maybe. At the end i wand to have deformed hexagones which will fit to the surface, nor a trimmed pattern. Let me know if I am not clear :).

Well, I understand what you mean, BTW, your target surface is a trimmed surface, so, you cannot blame the surface morph method.

And here is one possible tricky method of doing what you want. Check attached.

This is exactly what i am looking for, thank you !  i don't understand what you mean by trimmed surface, I will look for it :) !

thank you for your help !
