can't use attractor in this case?

Hi.

This One is a quad fan tiling with hexa grid. And you'll need "mesh edit" & "Weaverbird" plug-in. Best..

If you would like to do this only by Native components of grasshopper here is my definition.

I used Hyungsoo Kim definition, I've only changed the parts that third party plugins was needed.

Any idea on how to use this definition in cylindrical surface?

You can map hexa-grid onto your cylinderical surface, but there is always a mismatch problem at the surface seam.

BTW, a bit annoying, there is another way of getting rid of seam problem by using "Lunchbox"

plug-in.
