algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi Guys,
So I am a bit of a grasshopper noob, but I am attempting to do the following and a bit lost on where to begin:
I have a black and white image. I would like to apply the image to a surface, then I guess divide the surface into a grid of squares and extrude those based on the darkness value of the corresponding area on the picture.
I then intend to 3d print that surface after I give it a thickness (I am fine with that part)
Cheers and thanks for any help!
Miles

Hi man, thanks for the link!
I tried it out however and am getting a problem. I have an integer connected to my srf grid set to 200. However I receive the error: * the u-count value is incorrect for this number of points*.
I tried changing the u expression to : *u + 1*
that did not work, picture is attached, any help would be much appreciated :)
effectively (u+1), but the integer should be the same at DivideSurface component
Hi man,
THANK YOU!
Was not working for me, see how you did it now.
Cheers!
Miles
I'm so glad you got it to work
