Extruding a Geometry to Surface profile

Hi Fletcher,

You can shoot up a ray from each grid cell centrepoint using the Line SDL component. Then intersect this ray with the surface, using the LimitToFirst menu option to simplify the results. The distance between the orinigal cell point and the intersected point is the extrusion distance you're looking for.

Hey David,

Thanks for the reply.

Im quite new to grasshopper so Im still having issues as to how this is done. 

How do I set the Surface as an intersect with with the rays created. 
What/where is the LimitToFirst menu option?
