algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Everybody,

I hope someone could help me with a problem I am currently facing.

I want to extrude a profile curve (rectangle) along a horizontal curve.

The result is not really what i want .i also tried to sweep it but it also didnt work.

i have a attached my definition.

Thank you whoever might find some time to have a look at my file

Cheers

Hi you just need to flatten the B input of your vector 2 point. Without that your lists were not matching and you were making 10 lists of 10 vectors (100 vectors) rather than making just 10 vectors.

Thank you for your reply Michael!!

Flattening B input does not create a proper solid object around the rail curve.

a workaround is to ,

offset the rail curve twice, create a ruled surface and extrude the surface into z direction.

if there is a smarter way please let me know.

When I flatten B I get a solid on the rail, unless it's not clear what you are trying to achieve.

attached is my alternative solution.

is this what you want?
