algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello Friends, i am Ivo from Germany and i have a Problem with my grasshopper definition.
I have created a pavillion and i want to extrude a rectangle along a curve with different directions. But the problem is, that the rectangle changes its dimension, when the curve changes its direction, i think it has something to do with the orientation of the planes and they have to be aligned or something, i am not sure.
I already have tried some different ways, but it did not help a lot. i also already read some tutorials but i do not know, how to put it into my script.
This project is for my study, but unfortunetly my prof is already in holiday and i have to finish it by myself..
I have attached some pics and the rhino and grasshopper definition.
I hope someone can help me this would be great !
Ivo :-)

Hello Ivo,
I think it is [sweep1] command, you are looking for.
cheers,

Hello Ivo,
No, I don't think it's a new component.
The difference between the two is that Extrude keeps the original orientation of the extruded curve while Sweep orients the curve along the rail(path curve).
Hello Joseph, also realy nice solution, but in this i think its a provlem, that there are ,,open end,, on the edges, but with your it could be possilble, to get nice wood frames with 90° edges, but for that it must be possible, to get the wood frames on top as long as the standing woods. do you have an idea?
