Expressions on Parameters No Longer Working 0.9.0072

I can no longer apply expressions for the input parameters of a component. For example, say for the curve offset parameter component, for the Distance D parameter, if I want to apply a negative direction, in the expression I would add D*-1 Now, in this version of GH i keep getting the error message, 

1. Expression generated an error: Invalid expression: Unexpected symbol encountered (*)

This is happening so far for every component where I want to add an expression,
