algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Expression syntax or method problem???

I have two expressions... the one on the left works as I would like, while the one on the left clearly has an error. I could use some tips from someone that can spot what I am doing wrong here.  I suspect it is something obvious to many.

Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

Warning given with red component

1. Expression generated an error for (x, y, a, b): Operator + not defined for bool and int

try using brackets around the y+2000

e.g.

If(x>(y+2000),x/a,x)
