Expression Input Method

Dear All

I am trying to write a simple expression of f(x)= x-1 using component Evaluate component.

Could anyone tell me how I should input the expression please? I tried to input x-1 but it would not work,

Appreciate any help at all.

Pls find the screen shot of the expression for your reference

Hi Yutaka, it's a bug. Turn off 'Draw Full Names' in Display menu.

suggest what Pieter said or you could write (Variable x - 1) instead "x-1"

Hmm... that is not working for me.
Besides turning off the FullNames, renaming just the variable to "x" (when still using Draw Full Names) works over here.
But if it is working for you, then nevermind. (I never use the DrawFullNames anyway).

Variable names are not allowed to contain spaces, so that doesn't work.

Sorry for the incomplete answer. Yukata, you could do as Pieter says or else (if you are not comfortable in using symbols for input) you could simply change the input variable name. But also, delete any extra input that you are not using, Refer Image.
