Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm not very familiar with rhino/grasshopper and I have baked my grasshopper model and want to export it to illustrator in either rendered or shaded format. I select the model in rhino I want to export and "export selected" into an illustrator file but when I open it, it is in wireframe form.

Any help would be appreciated.

exporting to illustrator from Rhino generates vector-based curves for all visible object outlines in whatever view you're using.  If you want to export either a shaded or rendered object, use the render function and save the jpeg/bmp/png, and open that up.  You can adjust settings for background color, etc...rhino 5 has a lot more options.  I find layering both techniques in illustrator makes for excellent diagrammatic images...use the vector-based edges from the direct export on top of the rendered image from the same view.
