exporting animation series of .ai files

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a way to export animation as a series of .ai files rather than series of .jpg images?

I've been covertly working on an svg export plugin, can you post the geometry you want to export? I'll send you an example.

Not sure - what should be the animation? the steps of the curves growing?
