error with the EPW file reader

Dear Grasshopper users and developers,

A week ago i installed Rhino and Grasshopper on my PC and since then i have a error with the "Ladybug_open EPW and Stat weather Files" plug in. When i put the URL code inside the panel then the plugin gives a error about a missing internet connection (see the attached picture).

Some details that can give you more perspective about the problem:

-The installation on my PC went exact the same way like i installed it on my laptop (and it works fine on my laptop).

-I use windows 7 on my laptop and windows 8 on my PC.

-Mr. Scott (from McNeel) adviced me to refresh my windows because some connection were broken after a rename of the C drive. But the problem wasn't solved after the refresh.

-Mr. Scott also teamviewed me (before the refresh) and so far i understood everthing looked fine (except the windows error). The Grasshopper also worked fine on his PC.

The Grasshopper setup is also atached in this message. Hopefully someone can help me find a solution. Because my laptop can't run all the resources and my school investigation gets a possible delay.

This is a question for Ladybug+Honeybee group (http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/ladybug).

Nevertheless, back to your question, it might be a result of a firewall. You can just download the weather file manually and use either file component or openEPW to read the file address in.

Dear Mostapha,

At the moment i am just trying just some possibilities from rhino, grasshopper and all kind of plugins by following all kind of turtorials (like yours and makey his turtorials). Scott also thought it could be a firewall problem but i shut my firewall down and nothing changed and the firewall on my pc is the same package as on my laptop so then i also should have problems on my laptop.I just rembered the directly importing EPW file just after making this post (by rewatching a turtorial). But i guess this will give some other problems with plugins where you need a internet connection (although i haven't used those other plugins yet).
