Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

error microsoft runtime c++ via parallel desktop!!!!! A version for mac please!

Hi I'm a student of engineering,

I'm interested in learning grasshopper for my university work.

I use rhino for mac, but i don't find a version for macintosh, can I get it?
Now I download the trial version of rhino 4.0 sr9 in w7 via parallel but when i open the plugin it can't start.

When I initialize the plugin window appears that I have attached. says it can not load the DDL "rhcommon_c"

thanks.

Hi Enrico,

Grasshopper for iRhino does not exist yet. And there are always problems with running Rhino on Parallels. So much so we do not support that platform.

If you want to use Grasshopper today, then you'll need to get Bootcamp or a Windows machine with Rhino (4 or 5) for Windows.

Thanks for your answer!
I'll try installing windows xp which is the best ever!

Wanted to know, for iRhino, grasshopper is under development? or if it has not trace, because also well in engineering and architecture, macintosh computers are becomethe most used!

thanks

We have been working in the past on getting Grasshopper to run on Mac Os, Marlin Prowell (the iRhino developer) has recently succeeded in getting a 64-bit build of the Mono platform to compile, which was a fairly major mile-stone in the whole process. However everyone who's involved with Rhino for Windows is currently not allowed to do anything except get Rhino5 out the door.
