Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi to All

I have installed today the latest release of GH   and  loaded my project

with GH components developed in C#

When I compile I get error "Cannot register the  assembly  GH_IO  ect ect"

So i deleted the reference to GH_IO  and Grasshopper

and reloaded a copy  from the Grasshopper directory

After this I get   error :

"Cannot register RhinoCommon  bla bla "

So I made a reference to  RhinoCommon.dll from the Rhino 5 (64)  directory

but nothing to do , it does not work (same message)  seems that linked dll's cannot be found

My question is simple , what  is the correct thing to do  ?

How can I update my project files when a new release of grasshopper and Rhino is installed ?

Which is the correct way to do this  ?

thanks to All

Can you post the exact error as it appears on screen? A screenshot will be best.

Hi David

Here you are (Italian but I am sure you get it )

C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Microsoft.Common.targets(3912,5): error MSB3217: impossibile registrare l'assembly "C:\sviluppo\RM50\x64\Release\rmSolve.dll". Impossibile caricare il file o l'assembly 'RhinoCommon, Version=5.1.30000.4, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=552281e97c755530' o una delle relative dipendenze. Impossibile trovare il file specificato.

cheers

Gerry

Have you moved assemblies into the GAC?

As far as I know, no RhinoCommon and no Grasshopper assemblies should be anywhere near the GAC, so if they are, they should probably be removed.
