Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I found this image somewhere on the internet a while ago. It may come form this forum, but I'm not sure and can't find it's source anymore.

Anyway, I want to create something similar to the mesh in this picture, a mesh made of  equilateral triangles. Does enyone know what plug-ins are used here? I already figured out that I need Kangaroo and Mesh Edit, but that's not all. What plug-ins am I still missing?

Thank you in advance!

You only need Kangaroo 2.0 to recreate that.

Oh, okay. I didn't have the right version, then.

Many thanks for quick response!

Hi Neza,

That was an image I posted in this discussion:

http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/polygon-composition-with-...

The definition is also included in that post. It does not require any other plugins apart from kangaroo2.

Also - in this situation where you have an image but don't remember where it came from, Google's search by image is useful. The first result in this case is the page I link to above.

In the Chrome browser you can right click on an image and choose "Search google for image", or alternatively go to https://www.google.com/intl/es419/insidesearch/features/images/sear...

Found it. Thank you very much for your tips!

Hi Neza,

Were you able to figure out how to turn a surface/mesh into a series of equal equilateral triangles?

I too am a designer with little GH experience. I downloaded the latest Kangaroo plugin but unfortunately some of the toggles have changed and whenever I open a script from these forums there are parts missing.

Thanks in advance

Sean

Damn..... almost there.

Hi Shridhar,

Can you share your grasshopper/kangaroo script?

Thanks!

Sean
