Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi there!

I would like to divide a curved surface created in Rhino in equidistant points. I tried using "divide surface" but the points accumulate on the poles:

I tried using "populate geometry", which is great but the only problem is that the pattern is random and the distance between the points varies:

Do you know how can I organize the pattern and have all the points at the same distance between them?
Or any another way to make an equidistant grid of points on this heart shaped curved surface?
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!!
Clara

PS. If you need the original surface you can download it here: https://www.wetransfer.com/downloads/b8326b0e92af6e87f77747aba2a6a8...

Hello

you could use a remesher, Meshmachine is a good candidate, there is also meshmixer (Autodesk and free). These tools will give you triangular mesh with quite same distances. You will have to extract points or centers.

Thank you Laurent! I will explore Meshmachine

Saludos
