Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I'm new to grasshopper and I'm triyng to place identical objects on curved domed like surfaces, they all have to be equidistant from each other and calculate/place the max number of items on the surface, could some body help me out?

So the distances from the first object to all the other objects have to be the same...
and the distances from the second object to all the other objects have to bee the same...
and so on.

If this is true then the distance between one object and any other objects is 0. Otherwise this is not possible.

I understand this is not what you are looking for. I think you want to evenly distribute objects over a surface. What rules apply when doing this?
yes the later is true, I need them to be evenly distribute over a given surface, basically small cilinders, and being able to change the cilinders diameter.
I have the exactly the same question as you Daniel. If you find out how to do it I would appreciate if you let me know.

One way to do it is with simple agent based systems, such as Daniels processing based script on the Digital Morphogenesis blog. I think his processing sketch is available to download:

Thanks everybody for your suggestions, I couldn't make the morphogenisis script to work and I'm still gonna try the 2d gh example, however it seem like Panelization is the direction I want to take, except with using solid objects, one link that I found and Im exploring is the following:
