algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Equality component doesn't return true for lengths that should be theoretically equal.

Hi,

Does anybody know what's wrong with the attached definition? I am trying to compare the lengths between moving parts and keep these lengths constant. But equality component returns a list with some  'false', although they should all be 'true' with these settings. Is there a tolerance issue going on? It would be great if anybody out there could enlighten me.

Thanks.

Greetings

M.

Hi.

Actually, some numbers are not exactly 129.0

See attached and you'll know. Best.

Hello Hyungsoo,

Thank you for your response. I appreciate it!

Well, I was expecting that some numbers are not exactly the same. But I still can't get why this is happening. Do you have an idea to overcome this problem? Because this is a model for a delta 3d printer, precision is quite important.

Within a given tolerence, they would be considered as the same numbers, right?

Even if your printer is supposed to be a very accurate one, I don't think it's going to be an issue.

Yes, they would be. Thanks for the explanation.
