algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I am trying to apply geometry to a surface, but when the surface is subdivided, some areas are very dense, whilst, others are not so. Is there any way around this? Ideally I would like all the subdivisions to be approximately the same shape

Cheers

Try rebuilding your Rhino surface to get a more uniform distribution of control points...

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, do you know the best way of doing this? Its quite a cmplex shape so the loft doesn't work...

I had a quick play.  You could contour and reloft a new surface.

I rebuilt the loft curves so they all had the same number of control points.

Or you can extract a lot of points and try to reverse engineer a cleaner surface using a plug-in, for example:

And meshes are a whole different ball game...  but that could be a way to go too.

Thanks a lot, I couldnt get the reverse engineering method to work, but lofting worked great!
